Research assignments to continue this month on house limitation policies. . Neela:
Atherton, Sandy: Saratoga and Monte Sereno, Robin: Woodside, Liz: Los Gatos, and Pat:
Portola Valley. Pat reported that sq. ft. limits are as follows: 1 acre-5260 , 2 acres-7013,
5 acres-8766 and the maximum in Portola Valley is 10,121 sq. ft. for 7 ½ – 10 acres.
Building on greater than 10 acres requires a conditional use permit to increase the MFA.
Neela reported that the Atherton town reported only 20 lots that were greater than 2 acres
so they did not have an issue. They also reported that their interpretation of Woodside
ordinances was a maximum size of 18000 sq. ft. but that included the basement. The
maximum main floor was 6000 sq. ft. Neela will compile data and make a comparative
table of the various ordinances.
New Business: The committee approved an increase in the budget to $750.00. We will
also examine the need for a replacement of the town guidelines with a short easy to read
manual highlighting important ordinances.
Meeting adjourned at 7 PM
