Guests: Tom Klope, Dan Seidel, and Nancy Fouquet Minutes of last meeting approved Next Meeting Date: March 8, 2005, 5:30 PM at Bullis School Multipurpose Room. Field Trip Dates: Thursday, February 23@ 9:00 AM Site Development and Fast Track assignments: February 15: Liz Goodman February 22: Neela Shukla March 1: Sandy Humphries March 8: Pat Ley Review of Planning Commission Meeting: Sandy will attend February 10 Alon house denied, John Mordo counseled P.C. on applying ordinances not opinions. Soccer field at Bullis continued. Question re: legality, funding, and conflict with school. Review of Site and Fast Track meetings: No significant issues Future Commitments: None Old Business: Tom Klope presented the final landscape plan that will be presented for approval March 9. It will utilize a tensiometer to measure soil moisture and control the irrigation system based on water need. It was suggested that the palms be sold to finance some of the plantings. Nancy Foquet will assist in the finalization of our size presentation. Neela, Pat, and Nancy will meet Feb 21 at 9:00 AM to discuss the presentation. New Business: Sandy wrote a letter on the committee’s behalf to the Adobe Watershed group supporting the grant from the Department of water resources. Dan Seidel presented his landscaping for the Purissima Water District site. He will also have a demonstration garden including drought resistant lawn choices. The EDC opposed using artificial turf in the landscape plan. Nancy Foquet reported on her goal of knowledge to the people of LAH on the importance of water conservation. She stresses the importance of controlling development. She feels individual property rights are impinging on community rights and feels that there is a need to return to a community based approach and calm the extremes of overdevelopment. She plans to apply for a position on Breen Kerr’s new energy committee, to help promote this agenda. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM
