Next Meeting Date: May 9, 2006, 5:30 PM at Town Hall Field Trip Dates: Monday April 17 @ 9:30 AM, meet at Town Hall Site Development and Fast Track assignments: April 18: Robin Robison April 25: Liz Goodman May 2: Pat Ley May 9: Neela Shukla Planning Commission assignments: May 4: Sandy Humphries (Public Hearing) Review of Planning Commission Meeting: The EDC landscape guide was referenced (listing the Eucalyptus globulus as an invasive species) in the discussion on how to deal with these trees. Staff is to prepare an amendment of the town development ordinance requiring the removal of theses trees as a condition of site development permits. This information will be presented May 4 at a public hearing at the PC Committee. Pre- zoning of San Antonio Hills was approved by the Commissioners and passed on for Council approval. Lands of Corrigan at 13920 Fremont Pines to remove invasive scotch broom. A sub-committee including 2 Commissioners will be established to create an ordinance to allow an increase in MDA on a 1/1 ratio up to 500 sq. ft. to promote use of photovoltaic energy generators. Planning commission would still review additional MDA. Review of Fast Track and Site Development Meetings: Lands of Blair on Fremont: One gatepost sits within the 25 foot creek setback conservation area. Future Commitments: The EDC: Pat, Sandy, and Liz will staff a table with reference materials and native plants at the Earth Day Celebration at Westwind Barn. Old Business: Our 2006 budget will be set at $1000.00. New Business: We will begin to investigate the impact of vineyards on the local environment and establish guidelines to prevent erosion and pollution from pesticides and fertilizers. The Santa Clara Valley Water District has proposed a municipal system in which they would be in charge of our waterways and resources. The fear that they may manage them with concrete instead of native methods is of concern. Meeting adjourned: 7 PM
