c. Heritage Trees: sub-committee information as to progress
After their 3rd meeting on April 10, the sub-committee will collate their
suggestions in writing and present to ED&P and Open Space
Committees for their consideration.
d. Sharing information received regarding landscaping etc along
Fremont Road:
Pat spoke to Richard Chiu regarding this project. She was informed
that the town hired an external landscape architect to handle this
project. However, no input or advice was sort from ED&P Committee.
It should be noted that chemically treated wood-block curbs will leach
chemical into the soil, and also the height and size of these wood
blocks will make it near impossible for cyclists to escape from the road
when necessary.
e. Sharing information received concerning the Middle Fork Lane
project.
The applicants presented a revised plan which does not adequately
deal with the issue of the preservation of Heritage oaks. This is also of
great concern to the Open Space Committee.
f. The EDPC would like to be informed by Planning Department of the
names of applicants who fail to receive Fast Track approval after their
initial submission. The EDPC would then like to be involved in the
follow up process, helping the Planning Commission and the Planning
Department with the plant, shrub and tree information which is often
