Other Business
1. Should Associate Members on LAH committees such as ED&P, Pathway
and Open-space be allowed onto private properties? John Harpootlian told
us that this issue will be discussed at the next Council Meeting (Feb. 20 @
6PM).
Neela Shukla is only an Associate Member of ED&P because she does not
now live in LAH. Her professional qualifications as an architect make her
an extremely valuable contributor to the work of the Committee and we
all, including Council Liaison Harpootlian, support her membership of the
EDPC.
2. Graffiti on property
Property owners should be asked to clean-up graffiti as soon as it appears
in order to discourage the vandals. . Mary Ann Malcolm will deal with
this task.
3. Coyote Forum: On Feb. 12 a meeting will be held to discuss how to handle
the increased presence of these animals.
4. West Wind Barn: Two shade trees were taken out and need to be replaced as
they provided necessary shade.
ED&P will make a recommendation as to the type of tree to plant.
5. Saving the trees of LAH.
Pat proposed that any disease-free tree of any type over 12 inches in
diameter should be termed “of value” and protected in the same way as
oaks are at present.
John will address this with Debbie
6. Agricultural buildings of historical interest:
This was agreed to be in the province of the History Committee as well as
the EDPC and Carol Gottlieb will start them on such a “search and
identification “ project. John will discuss this with Debbie.
Pat asked for help in making a new EDP location map, one easier to read
than the map used at present. After discussion it was agreed that the task
was beyond us – too complicated and expensive.
Carol was appalled that the EDPC did not have a copy of the Town
Ordinances. Pat will ask Debbie for a copy.
Adjournment: Meeting adjourned at 7:00 PM
