The History House Reserve (HHR) Sub-Committee met with Architect Duxbury and Landscape Architect Klope, who worked together on the Town Hall project, on 3.6.15. They considered the site as a whole. The new building would be placed parallel with the northern hedge, its roof shape to conform with that of the Town Hall, the AT&T “tree” moved to a corner, solar panels situated on the new roof and the barn/shed removed. Parking would be provided between the hedge and the new building. This whole scale revamping of the area met with universal approval from those present, with only Susan Mandle wondering about the cost. At the HHR Sub-Committee meeting on 3.9.15. it was agreed that Chair Crites would present in writing the Duxbury/Klope ideas to Carl Cahill for the Town’s consideration. The task of the Sub-committee would then be considered achieved. It was suggested that, at the upcoming meeting of the Parks & Rec.Committee (which Chair Crites would attend), emphasis should be placed on a town-wide survey of how the residents themselves would like this land to be used. c. On the morning of 3.6.15. the positioning of the Old Town Hall Cupola in front of Council Chambers was officially recognized and pictures taken of those who had worked so hard to save, restore and install this relic of the previous building. Adjournment. Meeting adjourned at 6:45PM
