3. Earth Day April 18
Decided to have a display and handout materials on Earth Day, as we did in the past. Several attendees
committed to being available to man the booth, 1-4 p.m. Specific details need to be worked out.
4. Community Choice Aggregation:
Based on our discussion, with specific emphasis that PG&E would be unsupportive, and LAH being a
small community, it would not be feasible to pursue community choice aggregation for the town of LAH.
5. LAH Green Building ordinance:
Raj Reddy will meet with Debbie Pedro, LAH Planning Director to discuss the details on increasing the
Green Point requirements to 75 points for new homes. Also discuss implementation of GP requirements on
re-models.
Evaluate the number of current homes, and new installations of solar systems in Los Altos Hills.
Expand Green Point requirements for re-models: Need further evaluation, based on short payback measures
as part of the remodel. Kujan Shah will provide additional thoughts at our next meeting, after review of GP
manual. San Mateo City currently implements Green point requirements for re-models.
City of Los Altos Hills is now a member of Bay Area Climate Collaboration (BACC). The next BACC
meeting is on March 24th in San Francisco. Members of the EIC committee are welcome to attend.
