This is not clearly spelled out in the Town version, and EIC recommends that it should be. The State’s definition of the dedicated meter should be used 3.The current formula for calculating the Parcel Water Budget subtracts open space/conservation easement area from the basis. This reduces the water allowance for parcels with open space/conservation easements, and therefore risks creating a disincentive for those designations. This should be fixed in the final PWB formula. 4.The PWB formula appears to include several typos where the numerical factors assigned to ETAF and SLA are not consistent throughout the section. This needs to be fixed/clarified. Motion: Aileen Lee, Sheila Veerina Second, unanimous approval NOTICE TO PUBLIC Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Environmental Initiatives Committee regarding any item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s office located at Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California during normal business hours. 5.Discussion of the potential end of the drought this winter and related public education The committee discussed the El Niño forecast for this winter, and the potential implications for water conservation behavior as individuals perceive the end of the near-term drought and begin to replant their landscaping.
