Roll Call - Committee members in attendance: Peter Evans, Drew Grewal, Sheela Veerina, Srini Srinivasan, and Aileen Lee (quorum at 5 of 8). Council Liaison: Roger Spreen Community Members: Steve Schmidt, Olesia Chikunova. Citizen’s Climate Lobby: Karl Danz, Paula Danz, Randy Salim, Laura Shoemaker 2. Approval of Minutes – Minutes to be revised for clarification. (Sentence reading “LAH upgraded to 100% renewable GreenPrime” should be revised to clarify that we are referring to the Town’s municipal accounts only) 3. Citizen’s Climate Lobby Presentation – Representatives from the Citizen’s Climate Lobby joined the meeting to request that the EIC recommend that the Town Council adopt a resolution endorsing their proposal that the U.S. congress enact legislation around their carbon fee and dividend proposal. The EIC discussed their proposal and a potential resolution, and identified a few items for further investigation and follow-up. 4. Green Building Ordinance Review and update – Sub-committee determined that Town can adopt new thresholds for both fast track and full permitting without requiring additional approvals by the State. As such, sub-committee proposed that the EIC recommend to the Town that it update its thresholds based on Build It Green 7.0, and require a score of 79 (silver level) for permitting, and a score of 110 (gold level) for fast track approval. The committee voted unanimously to make this recommendation. 5. Water Conservation: No update 6. CDP Participation: Submission completed 7. SVCEA – Steve Schmidt reported that SVCEA is proceeding with roll-out. He pointed out that we should now be thinking about how SVCEA deploys its resources around conservation incentives (e.g. EV promotions, water pump heaters) 8. Meeting adjourned 8:15
