Attendance: Chairwomen: Carol Gottlib, Mary Ann Malcolm, Diane Brauch, Jitz Couperus,
Carol Crites, Joe Heinrich, Nobuko Saito Clearly, May Davenport, Catherine
Popell
Not Present: Linda Swan, Rich Larsen, Ginger Summit
Chairwoman: Carol Gottlieb called meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
The August 20, 2013 Minutes were approved.
Old Business:
1. Scanning project moving along nicely still in progress. Jitz Couperous and Carol Crites.
2. Recorder and Transcript project still in progress (10 completed). Ginger Summit and Nobuko
Saito Cleary
3. Street names project moving along. Diane Brauch and Catherine Popell
4. Heritage Oak Tree Project/LAH History Committee/Environmental Design/Open Space still
in development stage. Carol Gottlieb to advise when resolution is adapted.
5. Shed/Carport project for Farm Equipment was discussed (county gave money for shed).
Committee feels we need to preserve this Farm equipment very soon. Mary Ann
suggested to take a look at the farm equipment at Los Altos History House and how nicely its
coveredunder a shed. Jitz Couperus volunteer to go over and take some pictures. Carol suggested
working with Rich Larsen to get a memo out to council. Mary Ann Malcolm to send an email to
Rich.
6. Committee photo needs to be taken and an article placed in the Town Crier about our projects,
and what the History is currently doing.
7. Catherine Popell taking the lead on researching what we can put out on our History WEB etc.
Mary Ann Malcolm to supply all News Paper's names email to Catherine. This also entails the
continuing to save Newspaper articles????
8. Gathering for Residents 35 years plus coming up 10/20/2013. Party Committee to meet to
finalize gathering.
