Chairwoman Carol Gottlieb called the meeting to order at 3:40
Present: Carol Gottlieb, Mary Ann Malcolm, Diane Brauch, Catherine Popell, May Davenport, Jitze
Couperous, Ginger Crites and Associates Joe Heinrich, Linda Swan
Not Present: Nobuko Cleary, Carol Crites and Associate Mary Van Tamlen who did not receive
notification of the meeting
Late Arrival: none
Early Departure: none
Guests: Lee Ann Vojvoda of St. Luke’s Chapel in the Hills and Kjell Karlsson
Review of Minutes: Unanimous approval of the May minutes
The first hour of the meeting was held at St. Luke’s Chapel in the Hills which is the site of the
incorporation of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills. Lee Ann Vojvoda presented information about
the history of the buildings, including the school that once educated children of the Town. The meeting
continued at the Town’s Parks and Recreation Building.
Old Business:
1. Old Archives. Two more books have been scanned and work on the Town Newsletters has been
initiated.
2. Oral History Project. Los Altos Hills residents are scheduled for interviews over the following
weeks.
3. Street Names. The link of the street names has been sent to the City Clerk, Deborah Padovan.
4. Collection of Current History Information. The folder is completed. Discussion was held in
regard to next step to take with the gathered information.
5. Shed for Farm Equipment. Waiting for a return call from staff in regard to placement of the
cupola. Discussion continued on the labelling of equipment and the path to the equipment.
6. Preservation of Historical Landmarks of Interest. The Historical Site No. 10 already present at St.
Luke’s Chapel of the Hills was discussed along with the possibility of a plaque.
7. October Event: The Packard children have narrowed the time of the event to either Sept. 20 or
21. Topics for discussion were addressed as was the event process and advertisement.
8. A Historical Display in March as part of the Art Exhibit. The Committee will choose historical
material for the display for the March Exhibit.
The meeting adjourned at 5:45 pm.
