that are potential oral history subjects. Nick & Nobuko asked the committee members to
review the list and send them any additions or deletions by next meeting. They also
presented criterion for selecting the members. 14 oral histories have been completed.
Old Business:
1. Cupola plaque, time capsule, and 60th anniversary event: Mary Ann Malcolm reported
that no suggestions for time capsule items have been submitted. Mary Ann will work on
an article for Town Crier to publicize time capsule. Members discussed selecting items
that are relevant to current year. Members will make the decision on items for capsule at
November 2015 meeting.
2. 2015 Taaffe Event: Mary Ann Malcolm reported that Foothill professor, Mark Hylkema,
will speak at the event. Carol Gottlieb reported that Arlene Taaffe will be attending the
event and the date has been set for Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. at the Town
Council chambers.
3. Heritage Preserve Project: Carol Crites reported that the committee’s progress report to
Town Council on 7/16/15 was well received. The EOC group would consider relocating

building. Council members are concerned about the financial implications. Councilman
Radford volunteered to work on the project and he and Town Manager, Carl Cahill, will
put together a cost analysis.
