Old Business
1. Conservation Easements
Discussion---we need to work on definitions to justify reasons for very small easements; slope,
habitat , vegetation, etc. Also, for the 30% slope easements. We need to look at other hillside
communities. Nancy had a brochure from USGS on this and since it emanated from our own Art
Lachenbruch we could use the wording there.
Sandy said there were new properties coming along soon that we need to be aware of . Carl
Cahill is to keep us informed. Roger will talk to him to make sure.
Task force set up to discuss. Patty, Barbara and Jean Mordo, Ray, Roger, Nancy and Jean S will
meet on Jan 23 3pm to discuss.
Pat Ley said she researched limiting house size such as Woodside and Portola Valley and results
were totally negative.
New Business
2. Apricot Trails
Ray Collins is going to offer a hike in the hills for the public on the 2nd Saturday of April, May, and
June. She had a map and route, etc. Duffy commented that she needs to train another person to
do this. It was hoped that Pathways would co-sponsor.
3. Bench Memorial for Richard Lamparter area selected in meadow area of Westwind Property
near a little hill. Stone bench. Nancy will go the San Jose to arrange.
4. Report that the Adobe Creek collaborative proposal will go to the SCVWD Board in March or
April.
5. Culverts in Byrne Preserve do not seem to be working properly - not enough slope to keep
them clear. Reported by Patty C.
6. Restoration under way by Patty to clear french broom from Central drive to Moody Court. She
wants to write a grant to study the Byrne erosion and would hope to get funding from the water
district.. Duffy said that for budget items they need to be in by June.
6. Prioritizing Goals
