the front of the Preserve. The SCVWD representatives said that there was no
money available under the Clean, Safe Creeks Measure but that a new funding
cycle would begin again if another bond measure was passed in 2012.
The OSC agreed that the Town needs to tell the OSC how to proceed with
O’Keefe.
Nancy said that she would check with Brian Schmidt of CGF to find out
what he knows about the Measure B Clean, Safe Creeks funds.
Edith Park
The OSC was informed that a joint report (Parks & Recreation/OSC) was being
presented to the Council at its March 20th meeting. Members of the OSC voiced
concern that the Council might think that the OSC supported all of the Report’s
recommendations. The OSC has not taken a vote in support of the entire report.
Its position has been that the OSC’s concern is the restoration of Adobe Creek.
Since the land-use designation of Edith Park is “recreation,” the OSC believes
that the Town, Parks and Recreation, and neighbors should take the lead in
planning for other uses of the property. Roger offered to send an e-mail to
Council members stating the position of the OSC. OSC members were
encouraged to attend the Council meeting.
Water Issues
Nothing new to report.
OPEN DISCUSSION: Roger recommended shifting the next OSC meeting a week
later to Thursday, April 23rd, because of Earth Day. The Committee agreed to the
rescheduling.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 am.
Next meeting – April 23rd at 8:30 am.
