Wildlife Issues
The OSC reviewed Roger’s proposed letter to Council recommending adoption of
the wildlife corridor map for use as a planning tool. OSC members agreed that
the letter was excellent. A suggestion was made to include a sentence or two in
the introduction explaining that corridor mapping is a regional and state
undertaking – not one just confined to Los Altos Hills. Yoriko offered to research
some key studies and websites supporting this. She will forward this
information to the Committee.

and fencing.

Land & Creek Management
Yoriko reported that a Watershed Summit is being planned for September of

Adobe Creek – Edith Park. After some lobbying and a presentation at the
SCVWD board meeting, the Water District agreed that the Town’s proposal
should be re-scored. While the grant proposal has now qualified, this does not
mean that the Town will receive funding, but rather that the proposal will be
considered.
Lehigh Quarry – Nothing new to report
Open Space Easements
Nancy distributed a 4-page document on open space easements. Much of the
information in the document was drawn from previous work on this. Nancy
recommended that a subcommittee be created to fine-tune the document and to
present it in a format that is easy to understand.
Planning Topics – None were discussed
