3. Current Business
Fencing setback proposal from Ad Hoc Committee – The Planning
Commission’s Study Session to discuss the Ad Hoc Committee’s proposal
will be held on August 21st.
Fence notification - The OSC will be notified about fence applications from
now on. Alice has agreed to be the point person. Sue and Nancy will be
back-ups.
Planning documents (wildlife, easements, creeks) – Nancy reported that
the Town’s planning staff is anxious to start handing these out to applicants.
An order for 500 copies of each document has been approved by the Town.
John recommended getting this information to realtors, also to the
Community Relations Committee.

appropriate size and well designed. Roger will e-mail Carl with the
request.
Bike riders on trails – Nancy recommended that bikers be discouraged from
riding on the Artemas Ginzton Trail and be limited to the fire road. There
have been reports from both equestrians and people who walk the trail of
close encounters that could have resulted in a serious accident.
Draining swimming pools – Nancy passed out information on the proper
method to drain swimming pools. The Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff
Pollution Prevention Program has a brochure that explains how to locate and
connect to the sewer clean-out. However, the brochure does not explain what
to do if the resident is on septic – not sewer. Nancy offered to put this
information together. She will bring this information to the next meeting.
4. New Business
.
Planning Projects – Stirling Subdivision
A preliminary subdivision map has been submitted to the Town to “test the
waters.” The OSC, Pathways Committee, along with other agencies have
been asked to comment. It was noted that a recorded survey would be
required when the final subdivision proposal is submitted.
No easements or setbacks are shown on the preliminary subdivision map.
An ad hoc committee made up of Sue, Alice, Nancy, George, Wendie and
Jean was formed. The committee will meet on Saturday, the 18th, to look
over the plans in more detail, followed by a site visit that Roger will arrange.
A list of issues will be put together by the committee following the site visit.
Dana Subdivision
A 2.58 acre property is being broken into 2 lots – of 1.5 acres and 1.1 acres.
This is an important wildlife area. Roger will set up a time to visit.
5. Open Discussion - There was no time for open discussion. The next OSC meeting
will be held on September 20, 2012
