Meeting called to order by Karen Druker, Chair. Other committee members present: Roger Burnell, Patricia Kreager, Sherry Scott and Gail Solomon. Minutes of January 13, 2014, were read by Pat Kreager and approved as read. Old Business: Status of the pre -approved sculptures; "Blue" — Karen and possibly Sherry & Roger are meeting with Sandra McCandless Simmons (donor) on Mon. 2-20-14 re possible sites for this piece. It was suggested that the Parks & Rec. and the Pathways committees be invite to this meeting. "Uptown" has been installed in the Town Hall lobby. "Tribute to our Ohlone Roots" has also been installed on the outside wall adjacent to the Heritage Oak at the Town Hall. Note: Karen requested Committee members email her (3) site suggestions for the piece "Star Gazers" (buck & fawn). New Business: Karen represented our committee at the public meeting of the Town Council on Monday, 1-14- 14. At that meeting she was given a 4 page document, entitled "Town of Los Altos Hills Art in Public Places Committee and Policy" and a form "Town of Los Altos Hills Public Art Application". She passed out, to the Committee, copies of these documents; a discussion followed. The council wants a precise master plan from us spelling out how many sculptures; a time line; sites; a policy for re -naming sculptures; and a guide line for donors, etc. Roger suggested when re -naming donated pieces we consider titles that are more congenial. This item was tabled for a future meeting. Karen and Roger visited the home of Nancy Mueller, in Palo Alto, to see a sculpture "Chocolate", she has and wishes to donate to our Town. Nancy's donation would also cover delivery, install and dedication plaque. We discussed the title and base of this piece. Roger commented that the piece has an" imaginative loveliness about it". He further stated that it was an exceptional offer, in that, the donor who resides in Palo Alto is donating to our town. Motion: To accept this donation, made by Roger, seconded by Sherry and unanimously approved. We tabled the site selection for a future date. As previously discussed, Sherry presented her draft of our overall plan, parameters and forms to our Committee. Additions and corrections were noted. Sherry and other committee members will meet before our Committee's next scheduled meeting to edit these items for our final review. Future APP meetings for 2014: Monday March 10, April 7 Meeting adjourned @ 9:15 P.M. Respectively submitted, Patricia Kreager, Recording Secretary
