Call to order and roll call (7:06 p.m.) - Members present: Julie Arnheim (arrival 7:10 p.m., left 8:20 p.m.), Roger Burnell, Karen Druker, Pat Kreager, Sherry Scott (arrival 7:10., left 8:15) , Gail Solomon, Gary Waldeck, (Council Liaison), 2. Minutes of March 9, 2015 were read by Pat. Some corrections were made. Motion by Roger to approve the minutes as edited, Seconded by Gail, then Unanimously approved. 3. Presentations from the floor –Motion by Julie to agenda size a presentation on Gail’s IPad re using branches and sticks for natural sculptures, Seconded by Gail and Unanimously approved 4. Old Business: a. The sculpture “Blue”, nothing new to report on its delivery. b. Update on the Orchard Sculpture Garden. Our committee reviewed an environmental plot and discussed visionary possibilities for the future Orchard Garden. Dog Park: Sherry, Maryam & Julie visited the present site. Maryam, and Sherry have been in touch with Sarah Gulteria; Sarah said she would like to come to our next committee meeting. c. No replacement for “Chocolate”. 5. New Business: a. Previously Pat had contacted a possible new sculpture for the “Orchard Sculpture Garden”, Richard Deutsch. A brief discussion was held and the committee viewed a picture of one of his sculptures, “Harvest”. The committee will consider this artist when ready to act on this project. b. Karen presented a sample of the first draft of a new APPC’s brochure. Some editing suggestions were made by the committee; Karen and Sherry will work together finalizing this tri-fold brochure. It was suggested that the new brochure be inserted in future Town Newsletters which are distributed four times a year. c. Karen has been asked by possible donors about donating appreciated stocks. Motion by Karen to authorize Sherry to send an email to the LAHC to investigate this type of donation. Seconded by Julie and Unanimously approved 6. Other marketing opportunities: Committee members will attend the Earth Day event on April 26 and the Town picnic on June 7 to publicize our APPC donor opportunities. 7.
