1.At 19:00 hours, Dru KG6LAD, Co-Chair called the online video apps to order. Half an hour
earlier, Neil K2LL was on the “Google Meet” helping the attendee for the link-up. The
meeting was held via a video/audio link - "Google Meet” with all the attendants at his/her
respective location.
(a)Roll Call: Ben KK6HH made the roll call. Attendance: 15 including 9 members, 4
associates, and 2 guests.
(b)Minutes of March 2020 approved: Ed W7WPO moved to approve the March Minutes,
Terry KM6LTQ seconded, and 8 members voted to approve. Scott N6NXI abstained
because he stated he had not read the minutes.
2.No update from the Council Liaison Kavita Tankha who was unavailable to attend.
3.EC Report Update and Activities - Neil K2LL, EC:
(a)Potential process under Shelter-in-Place (SIP): Neil cautioned that the earthquake
activation process is still in place during SIP. Discussions focused on ensuring that all
volunteers are equipped with additional Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as
N95 mask, sanitizer, goggles, and, potentially, face shields. Capt. Gluhan noted that,
outfitted with these PPE, no first responders of LAHCFD contracted Covid-19.

(b)Neil proposed that the May 16 County drill be a remote “arm-chair” activation exercise.
He asked for a head-count from the “chat” window at Google Meet.
4.Public comments from the floor:
(a)Capt. Gluhan KM6IFY updated the group on project status on items she covers at her
Zoom meetings.
(b)Co-chairs Dru KG6LAD and Eduardo KM6LSX reported that their ECC report to the
Town Council, scheduled for June, is deferred due to SIP. By request from the City
Clerk in April, each of the committees’ chairs were asked to send her two goals for the
purpose of LAH town 2020-21 Town budget:
1. ECC Goal #1: Work with the registered hams data base in the Los Altos Hills city and
influence area to develop a cohesive outreach to the licensed amateur radio operators
(“ham”) as well as develop outreach to those who would like to earn their FCC license
for community or personal reasons.
2. ECC Goal #2: Coordinate the training and participation activities with the Town’s
Emergency Manager team guidelines to ensure common objectives relative to town
emergency communications preparation in support of both the town and the LAHCFD.
Jay, at the suggestion of Dru KG6LAD, is willing to take on the task for Goal #1 but said he
needs an assistant. Ben KK6HH said he was willing to pitch in. Because the Database only
has the mailing addresses of the LAH area hams, Dru asked Marsha KG6CYV to help with
the sending of outreach postcards.
5.Old Business
(a)Neil reported that most of all the decision/work is done for the new vests. However, it
may have to defer to June for sizing unless the sizing charts can successfully be used.
(b)Inventory update – deferred due to SIP.
6.New Business
(a)Outreach to LAH-area licensed hams – Ham DB update: Ben KK6HH reported the
update of Ham DB by Bill Gibbons has been completed.
(b)Report from Dru on goals requested by the Town – Covered in 4b.
7.Tech Talk(s)
(a)Dru did a health and welfare check of all the meeting participants. Everyone seemed to
be doing well. Larry KG6AGJ mentioned his experience with “social distancing” had
been difficult because people are used to interacting at close range.
