1.Call to Order and Roll Call
2.Presentations from the Floor
Carol: ADUs being considered at 2 levels by <900 sq ft and > 900 sq ft. Any ideas give to Steve
Padovan for next planning Commission on Sept 1.
Peter: Stink wort map being prepared by OSC. They use garlon to control.
Peter: Reminder – complete Ethics training see emails.
Peter and Carol: Sept 29 – Tails of Moody Rd to be presented with speakers i.e. Joan Sherlock,
more
Peter: Symposium on Birds organized by Kit Gordon for Oct 29.
Birgitta: Los Altos Library hosting speaker on CNPS: Fire Safe Native Gardens by SCC Firesafe

4.Old Business
a.Tree Ordinance – review Jeremy Loh’s draft in emails, Motion approved unanimously: EDPC
endorses the Tree Ordinance and place in the code section for Site Development (not just
under Parks section) and present to Planning Commission.
b.Fast Track Guide – no update
c.Outdoor Lighting Ordinance – Haj & Birgitta to continue update. Demonstrate a pathway
fixture that complies in the Town chambers area which will help with night safety issue of
illumination.
d.Fence Ordinance – Peter presenting to Planning Commission on Aug 21. Need to
communicate with Council members : Kavita (Birgitta) and Courtney ( Birgitta & Carol) the
fence ordinance needs to be directed to Planning Commission for consideration.
e.Wildlife Corridors – used the OSC term in the latest fence ordinance.
f.Wildfire as it affects landscaping – talk to George Tyson, focus on construction materials
since a spacing of 30’ clearance around structures goes against town policies. Investigate
other fire safety practices such as exterior sprinkler systems.
g.Dropbox – Peter has setup new Dropbox account and will test it out on a few members.
Buvana will help update the excel spreadsheet on Site visits.
h.Old Minutes – Peter looking into this.
i.Field Trip Report Forms – Birgitta will modify current form.

a.July 9, 2019 Minutes Approval - approved

a.13310 La Paloma Rd – Pool Pergola – footings started before permit. Not seen off
site. Enclosed patio to be addressed privately by Planning Dept.
b.27911 Via Ventana – New residence (fire destroyed prior house)
c.11778 Maria Lane – Major Addition – 2 story addition that is not attached to main
house, basement room is accessed from outside. Next to 280 freeway

a.12545 Briones Way – Addition -started before permit, driveway must stay and
drawn correctly.
b.12735 Alto Verde Lane - Landscape Screening -inadequate plans, pool and
landscape lights will impact Viscaino neighbors.
c.26270 Purissima Road - Landscape Screening – 280 highway next to it and
redwoods needed to screen and noise abatement. Still use their proposed plants
and require 3 oaks for 1 oak taken out. High wall in driveway is questionable.

a.12615 Miraloma Way - Landscape Screening - oak trees needed besides proposed
strawberry trees. Didn’t want redwoods.
b.13456 South Fork Lane - Landscape Screening -Stegner house- no screening to
south or east.
c.12331 Stonebrook Court - New ADU - <1000 sq ft, small trees not shown on plan,
ADU in leach field, deck in 40’ setback, steep slope-> conservation easement.

a.12360 Priscilla Lane – New Residence- rebuilding similar house on same footprint
and 18’ high.
b.14510 Manuella- Landscape Screening -1/3 modular home missing and view
impacts neighbors. Need to revisit when installed. Open Space not marked.
Magnolias and African yellowwoods already planted.
7.Review of Fast Tracks Meetings (Review findings & provide members not at meeting with
outcome.)
a.July 16- none
b.July 23-3 lots of La Paloma Rd – Conservation easement is preserved and no path in it.
c.July 30 – Byrd Lane – neighbors all attended and in support of new residence. Dark in
color so blends with environment and no fencing.
d.August 6- none
