Need to review fence ordinances and elevate the situation. e.Captain Denise Gluhan (Ret) Emergency Services Manager presented landscaping recommendations by the Fire Department. dgluhan@lahcfd.org Recommends to look at Marin FireSafe Council plant list of “pyrophytic plants”. Examples of high burn landscaping are Italian cypresses, rosemary, Olive Trees, junipers, Eucalyptus trees. Problematic as well are native grasses. Use metal gates to create a fire break of wooden fences.
