b.Fast Track Guide- Planning Commission review threshold expires June 2020 for New
Residences
c.Outdoor Lighting Ordinance- review and finish – Haj & Birgitta
d.Fence Ordinance – added Michelle Wu preamble – voted and passed
Carol mentioned that Hilltop has a proposed 6’ solid metal fence along pathway – safety
issues for horses with riders. Need to review fence ordinances and elevate the situation.
e.Captain Denise Gluhan (Ret) Emergency Services Manager presented landscaping
recommendations by the Fire Department. dgluhan@lahcfd.org Recommends to look at
Marin FireSafe Council plant list of “pyrophytic plants”. Examples of high burn landscaping
are Italian cypresses, rosemary, Olive Trees, junipers, Eucalyptus trees. Problematic as well
are native grasses.
Use metal gates to create a fire break of wooden fences.

b.Recommendation to the City Council to approve Heritage Tree designation for Pat Ley's
Hollywood Junipers- Carol to write up Pat Ley’s request with photos.

are allowed in setback area. No fence approved with this application.
