Minutes Regular Meeting, March 9, 2020

2. January 2020 minutes approved as amended: Robyn notified us that our Master plan/Mission statement is not
posted on the PAC website but all other documents are now there (LAH website changed to PAC website) Robyn
moved to accept minutes as amended
3.Presentations from the Floor
a.Ceramic Birds – David Milgram will ask the new planning director about possible lighting for the birds and
future art pieces in the park. He will also talk to Public Works.
4.Discussion of Szabo and Stoller Proposals: next steps
a.The general consensus was that Stoller would work at either Edith Park or on Campus. Szabo would work
best at the park.
b.Members generally preferred Stoller and David will contact him to notify him of our intent to move forward.
He will also contact Szabo expressing our appreciation and telling him we would keep him in mind for future
art pieces.
c.We prioritized the sites as: (1) Edith Park (2) Town Hall Campus (3) Old Snakey, (4) Purissima/ Arastradero
d.Discussion regarding possibility of getting town members to submit images as ‘Easter eggs’ for Stoller piece.
e.David will work with Karl and Deborah regarding help with presentation to council on sculpture site using
Robyn’s 5 pp ceramic birds Council presentation as a template.
ACTION: David to write note to both artists
ACTION: David to have first draft and slide package by April 7 and apply to be on Town Council agenda for
April 16
ACTION: Diane will contact Sarah at Parks and Rec to get her input on placement of sculpture in Edith Park
and what the P&R committee might require. Also if there would be any problem to making Edith Park an art
park. re: plans prior to April 7 pkg submission for Town Council
f.If the town agrees to a sculpture park at Edith Park we would need to get info on possible parking,
wheelchair accessibility, lighting, and landscape pruning.
5.PAC Digital Gallery Continuation – At this time no one has stepped up to take Robyn’s position on maintaining
the online gallery. A search will continue for a volunteer. Robyn supplied us with a summary of marketing
outreach, list of artists who have shown in the gallery and possible artists (from out of LAH) for future galleries.
