A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AS COMPLETED THE WORK OF THE "TOWN
HALL PAINT, CARPET, AND FINANCE ROOM RENOVATION" PROJECT, AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Town Hall Furniture and Spaces Upgrade is a new capital project in the adopted
FY22-23 Operative Budget and FY2023-2027 Five Year Capital Improvement Plan with
designated funding; and
WHEREAS, the project scope includes upgrades to all workstations for Planning,
Building, Finance, and Engineering staff, modifications to the printer room to accommodate three
new workstations, update flooring, and new paint; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the award of "Town Hall Paint, Carpet, and Finance
Room Renovation" construction contract to L C Builders, Inc. on September 15, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the contracted work was substantially completed on December 7, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the "Town Hall Paint, Carpet, and Finance Room Renovation" Project has been
inspected by staff, and the project is deemed to be completed; and
WHEREAS, once the City Council accepts the project, staff will remit the 5% retention to the
Contractor 35 days following the project acceptance.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as
follows:
Section 1. As recommended by staff, the City Council accepts the "Town Hall Paint,
Carpet, and Finance Room Renovation" construction project as complete and authorize staff to
make the final retention payment concerning the above-described work.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file the notice of the completion of said
project with the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, within ten (10) days from the date
of this Resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town
of Los Altos Hills at a special meeting held on the 24th day of January 2023, by the following
vote:
AYES: Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tyson
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Tankha
