RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONSTRUCTION TIME
LIMIT FOR A NEW RESIDENCE AND ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT UNDER
CONSTRUCTION AT 27800 VIA FELIZ (#21224 AND #21225)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") adopted Ordinance 555
adding Chapter 10 — Construction Time Limits — to Title VIII of the Los Altos Hills Municipal
Code, establishing reasonable time limits on the duration of new construction projects based on
the value of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Chapter 10 — Construction Time Limits of the Municipal Code included
provisions for extension of construction limit in the event a project has not passed a final inspection
in the allotted time period and the applicant/owner may be entitled to up to two (2), six (6) month
extensions to complete the work; and
WHEREAS, any further construction time limit extensions can only be authorized by the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the building permits #21224 and #21225 for new residence and accessory dwelling
unit (ADU) was issued on May 01, 2018, and expired on September 18, 2022. The applicant is
requesting a construction time limit extension to December 15, 2023, to complete the construction;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
approves the extension of the construction time limit to December 15, 2023, to complete the
construction of a new basement and ADU at 24250 Hillview Road (#21224 and #21225).
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town
of Los Altos Hills at a special meeting held on the 24th day of January 2023, by the following
vote:
AYES: Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tyson
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Tankha
