A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS AT
PURISSIMA PARK, STORY HILL LANE, AND OAK PARK COURT PROJECT AS
COMPLETE, AUTHORIZING FINAL RETENTION PAYMENT TO THE
CONTRACTOR, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE NOTICE OF
COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Storm Drain Improvements is a capital project in the Adopted FY23-24
Operative Budget and FY2024-2028 Five Year Capital Improvement Plan with designated
funding; and
WHEREAS, On May 17, 2023, the City Council adopted a resolution to approve the plans and
specifications for the Storm Drain Improvements at Purissima Park, Story Hill Lane, and Oak Park
Court Project, to advertise this project for a formal bid, and to authorize the City Manager to award
a construction contract not to exceed $220,000; and .A
WHEREAS, the City Manager executed a construction contract in the amount of $160,000,
excluding the work on Story Hill Lane, and awarded the project to C2R. Engineering, Inc. on June
30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the contracted work at Purissima Park and Oak Park Court was substantially
completed on August 18, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the contracted work has been inspected by staff, and the project is now deemed
completed; and
WHEREAS, once .the City Council accepts the project, staff will remit the five percent retention
to the contractor 35 days. following the project acceptance.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as
follows:
Section 1. As recommended by staff, the City Council accept the Storm Drain
Improvements at Purissima Park and Oak Park Court by C2R. Engineering, Inc. as complete and
authorize staff to make the final retention payment concerning the above-described work.
Section 2. - The City Clerk is hereby directed to file the notice of the completion of said
project with the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, within ten (10) days from the date
of this Resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills at an adjourned regular meeting held on 28th of September 2023 by the following
vote:
AYES: Swan, Mok, Schmidt, Tankh.a, Tyson
