Mok, Councilmember Lisa Schmidt, Councilmember George Tyson, Councilmember Kavita Tankha Absent: None Staff: City Manager Peter Pirnejad, City Attorney Steve Mattas, Assistant to the City Manager Cody Einfalt (left the meeting at 3:38 p.m.), City Clerk Deborah Padovan (left the meeting at 3:38 p.m.) CALL TO ORDER (3:30 P.M.) Mayor Swan called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. 1. PUBLIC COMMENT (PUBLIC COMMENT IS LIMITED TO ITEMS WHICH ARE SUBJECT OF THE SPECIAL MEETING Nicholas French, Los Altos Hills, expressed concerns for the community and those who are afraid to speak. He requested reportable action and transparency and asked that the Council take this matter seriously. Debbie Gualtieri, Los Altos Hills, stated that she has been a resident for over 40 years and expressed serious concerns about the town management Karen Emerzian, Los Altos Hills, spoke about recent staff departures Rajiv Bhateja, Los Altos Hills, thanked the Council for the 360 review and said that residents put faith in the Council to make a wise and judicious decision. The Council adjourned to closed session at 3:38 p.m. 2. ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING: A. CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS (Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8) Negotiating Parties: Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Los Altos Hills Property: West Valley Division Substation, 1601 S. De Anza Blvd. Cupertino Terms and Conditions Related to Substation Lease B. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION 2 City Council Special Meeting Minutes November 13, 2023 (Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957) Position: City Manager 3.ADJOURN CLOSED SESSION City Attorney Steve Mattas explained that Closed Session was adjourned at 5:55 p.m. in time for the 6:00 p.m. Special City Council Meeting. When that meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m., Council returned to Closed Session and adjourned at 8:45 p.m. 4.REPORT OUT OF CLOSED SESSION There was no reportable action.
