Kerr summarized the correspondence and advised that Hidden Villa had requested that the Town terminate the annexation process. He read the letter into the record. City Attorney Steve Mattas reviewed the procedural option that could be taken by the Council given the request by Hidden Villa. The City Council could entertain a motion to continue the item "off-calendar". This would eliminate the need for any further action by the City Council on the annexation. If the annexation were to be re-considered in the future, it would necessitate the full review process that had been required for this application including the appropriate noticing. By continuing the item, the Planning Commission's review could remain as part of the annexation record.
