Home My WebLink About525 ORDINANCE NO. 525 , ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING CHAPTER 1, TITLE 11 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, following review of the code, it was determined that the amendments contained in this Ordinance were appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Tow_ n of Los Altos Hills does hereby ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. AMENDMENTS Section 11-1.01 of Title 11, Chapter 1 ("Initiation of designation") of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: Initiation of the designation of a structure, natural features, sites or areas having historical, architectural, cultural, or aesthetic significance as a landmark, shall be by the resolution of the City Council, or upon the request of the Los Altos Hills Standing History Committee, the verified application of the owner or authorized agent of the property to be designated. The application shall be filed with the City Clerk upon forms which the City Clerk shall provide, and shall be accompanied by all data required by the City Council. Section 11-1.02 of Title 11, Chapter 1 (Los Altos Hills Historical Society-Town Historian) shall be deleted in its entirety. per-son so appointed by the City Couneil. SEVERABILITY If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of this ordinance,including the application of such part or provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby and shall continue in full force and effect. To this end, provisions of this ordinance are severable. The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby declares that it would have passed each section,.subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase hereof irrespective_of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, subdivisions, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, or phrases be held unconstitutional, invalid, or unenforceable. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE; PUBLICATION This ordinance shall become effective thirty(30) days from the date of its passage. Within 15 days after its passage, this ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Councilmembers voting for or against it, in the Los Altos Town Crier, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Los Altos Hills, as required by law INTRODUCED: January 13 2011 PASSED:SS D.
