TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
May 14, 1970
Chairman Prisilla R. Weisbart called the Special Meeting to order at
7:30 P. M. held on Thursday, May 14, 1970, at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont
Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members present: Commissioners
Corbett, Hibner, McReynolds, Perkins, Spencer and Chairman Weisbart.
Commissioner Lachenbruch arrived at 8:00 P. M.
Town Planner, George G. Mader, was asked to go over his memorandum dated
May 8, 1970, addressed to the City Manager, as it pertains to his retainer
and the items the retainer covers. This was followed by general questions
and answers from the Commissioners, and Mr. A. M. Laws, 11210 Hooper Lane,
Mr. Mader reviewed the work done so far on the General Master Plan and gave
a brief history of the Town's general plans. There are several elements
of the General Plan which exist now in various forms. Phase I, of the
General Plan Revision as outlined in the May 8th memo, should be completed
with policies adopted by the Town before Phase II is started. Mr. Mader
showed the basic map work that has been completed to date in preparation
for the next phase of the General Plan.
After general discussion regarding the retainer, its amount and how it
should be used, the necessity of pushing forward on the General Plan work,
and the desire to provide for emergency items for the coming year, a Motion
was made by Commissioner Hibner, seconded by McReynolds, to request the
following amounts for professional service in the 1970-71 Fiscal Year
Budget:
Retainer $4,200.00
Work on Phase I of General Plan 4,000.00
Miscellaneous Studies 2,000.00
Reduce proposed Personnel Expenses from $8,109 to - 6,109.00
Total for Personnel and Consultant - - - - - --- 416,309.00
MOTION WAS CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE.
At 10:00 P. M., there being no further business, Chairman Weisbart
adjourned the meeting to:
NEXT REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING: Monday, May 25, 1970 at 7:45 P. M. at
Town Hall.
