HomeMy WebLinkAbout103-05 i • RESOLUTION NO. 103-05 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS ADOPTING A REVISED SEWER CONNECTION FEE SCHEDULE TO BE EFFECTIVE ON DECEMBER 1,2005 WHEREAS, Section 15273 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines states that CEQA does not apply to the establishment, modification, structuring, restructuring, or approval of rates, tolls, fares, and other charges by public agencies which the public agency finds are for the purpose of: 1. Meeting operations and maintenance expenses, including employee wage rates and fringe benefits; 2. Purchasing or leasing supplies, equipment, or materials; 3. Meeting financial reserve needs and requirements; 4. Obtaining funds necessary for capital projects necessary to maintain service within existing service areas; and WHEREAS,the City Council finds and determines that this action is exempt from CEQA based on the foregoing provisions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby amends and approves the Sewer Connection Fee Schedule of the Town of Los Altos Hills for property within the Palo Alto Basin to be effective on December 1, 2005, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Sewer Connection Fee Schedule Type of Connection Units of Service Cost per Connection Residence(1 to 60 F.U.) 1.00 $7,950 Church 1.00 $7,950 Country Club 2.68 $21,306 Office 1.84 $14,628 Fire Station 3.00 $23,850 School:Elementary and junior 1.00 for each 26 students in average high without gymnasium and/or daily attendance TBD cafeteria Junior high with gym and/or 1.00 for each 20 students in average cafeteria daily attendance TBD High school 1.00 for each 15 students in average daily attendance TBD Junior.College 1.00 for each 10 students in average daily attendance TBD Boarding schools/convents 1.00 for each 3-1/2 students in average daily attendance,plus TBD 12.00 for each 10 nonresident BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council finds the above-listed adjustments are necessary to protect public health and safety in that they will be utilized, in part, to pay for necessary improvements to the sanitary sewer system; that the charges are not discriminatory or excessive; that public notice was provided pursuant to Government Code Section 54354.5; and that such modifications are in compliance with the law and have been adopted pursuant to the requirements of the State of California Government Code.
