RESOLUTION NO. 6-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
SETTING A DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF REORGANIZATION OF AREA
DESIGNATED "RAVENSBURY ANNEXATION PROPERTY" LOCATED ON THE
SOUTHEAST BOUNDARY OF LOS ALTOS HILLS BETWEEN MAGDALENA
AVENUE AND RAVENSBURY AVENUE; APPROXIMATELY 57 ACRES,
(APN: SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") has received
a request for annexation of territory designated "Ravensbury" from Ravensbury Action
Group; and
WHEREAS, the property, 57± acres on the southeast side of Los Altos Hills
between Ravensbury Avenue and Magdalena Avenue (APN: see attached Exhibit A) is
contiguous to the Town of Los Altos Hills and is within its urban service area; and
WHEREAS, annexation would provide for use of Town services; and
WHEREAS, this territory was pre-zoned on September 6, 2001, to Town of Los
Altos Hills Pre-zone R-A (Residential-Agricultural); and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills, as Lead Agency for environmental review
for the reorganization of the Ravensbury annexation has prepared an Initial Study and
Negative Declaration; and
WHEREAS, the County Surveyor of Santa Clara County has found the legal and
description and map(see attached Exhibits A and B)to be in accordance with Government
Code Section 56757, the boundaries to be definite and certain, and the proposal to be in
compliance with LAFCO's road annexation policies; and
WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56757, the City Council of
the Town of Los Altos Hills shall be the conducting authority for a reorganization including
an annexation to the Town; and
WHEREAS, said territory is inhabited and all owners of land included in proposal
have not consented to this annexation.
NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE
that the Town hereby initiates annexation proceedings and will consider annexation of the

territory designated as .Ravensbury Annexation Property ("Property") to the Town at a
public hearing on February 21, 2002 on the condition that, prior to the annexation taking
place, the owners of the Property either do or cause to be done one of the following: (i)
bring Ravensbury Avenue, Old Ranch Road and Old Ranch Lane (collectively, "Roads")
up to Town standards, as set out in the Initial Study prepared for the proposed annexation
and as approved by the City Engineer or(ii) pay the Town Ninety Thousand Two Hundred
Dollars ($90,200) for the cost of the Town's bringing these Roads up to its standards.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Council of.the Town
of Los Altos Hills, this 3rd day of January , 2002 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Cheng, Finn and O'Malley
NOES: Mayor Pro Tern Fenwick

ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA
ENTITLED "RAVENSBURY AVE. 01-01"
All those certain real properties situated in the County of Santa
Clara, State of California, being a part of Tract No. 1184, Tract
No. 3283 , Tract No. 3872, and a part of "Los Altos Country Club
Properties Loyola" subdivision, Santa Clara County Records, and a
portion of Ravensbury Avenue, more particularly described as
follows :
Beginning at a point on the northwesterly right-of-way line of
Magdalena -Avenue 50 feet wide as shown on that certain Record of
Survey filed in Book 342 of Maps at page 6, Santa Clara County
Records, said point being also a point lying on the southwesterly
line of Lot 45, distant thereon North 78 Degrees 43 Minutes 21
Seconds West a distance of 31 .51 feet from the center line of
Madgalena Avenue as said Lot is shown on the map of the
subdivision of the Hale Ranch, filed January 11, 1897 in Book I
of Maps at Pages 48 and 49, Santa Clara County Records, said
point being also the westerly limit of Annexation "Magdalena.
79-1" ;
thence South 78 Degrees 43 Minutes 21 Seconds East a distance of
31 .51 feet to the center line of Magdalena Avenue, and the
Southeast corner of said Lot 45; thence continuing. South 78
Degrees 43 Minutes 21 Seconds East a distance of 31 .51 feet to
the southeasterly line of Magdalena Avenue as described in said
Annexation Magdalena 79-1; thence North 48 Degrees 46 Minutes 00
Seconds East along the southeasterly line of Magdalena Avenue a
