RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS SETTING A DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF
ANNEXATION OF AREA DESIGNATED "MORA DRIVE" CONSISTING OF 24
PARCELS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") has received a
request for annexation of territory designated as "Mora Drive" from property owners in the Mora
Drive neighborhood; and
WHEREAS,the property,24 parcels on the southern side of Los Altos Hills(APN: see Exhibit
"A")is contiguous to the Town of Los Altos Hills and is within its urban service area;and
WHEREAS, annexation would provide for use of Town services; and
WHEREAS, this territory was pre-zoned on August 2, 2001 to the Town of Los Altos
Hills' R-A(Residential Agricultural) zone district; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills, as Lead Agency for environmental review for
the annexation has determined the project to be exempt from the California Environmental
Quality Act according to Section 15319 (a); and
WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56757, the City Council of the
Town of Los Altos Hills shall be the conducting authority for a reorganization including an
annexation to the town; and
WHEREAS, said territory is inhabited and all owners of land included in proposal have
not consented to this annexation; and
NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE
that the Town hereby initiates annexation proceedings and will consider annexation of the
territory designated as"Mora Drive"to the Town at a public hearing on October 18,2012.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of September, 2012 by the following
vote:
AYES: Larsen, Waldeck, Mordo, Radford, Summit
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
