RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
ACCEPTING GRANT OF PATHWAY EASEMENT
(Lands of California Water Service Company)
WHEREAS, California Water Service Company. ("Owner"), owner of the property commonly
known as APN 336-42-022, Los Altos Hills, California; and
WHEREAS, Owner has offered to grant to the Town the easement for the construction,
operation and maintenance of existing and future pathway facilities, for pedestrian, bicycle and
equestrian use ("Pathway Easement"); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it is necessary and proper and in the public
interest to accept the grant of the Pathway Easement;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does RESOLVE as
follows:
Section 1. The Town hereby accepts on behalf of the public, and for the purposes therein
described,the Grant of Pathway Easement attached to this Resolution as Attachment A.
Section 2. The Town shall accept, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute,the Grant of Pathway Easement.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills at a special meeting held on the 20th day of October, 2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Summit, Larsen, Mordo, Radford, Waldeck

GRANT OF PATHWAY EASEMENT
TO THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
(Lands of California Water Service Company)
THIS GRANT OF EASEMENT is made this day of , 2011,by
California Water Service Company, ("Owner"), owner of the property commonly known
as APN 336-42-022 (Eastbrook and Magdalena Off-Ramp), Los Altos Hills, California,
to and for the benefit of the Town of Los Altos Hills, a municipal corporation("Town").
Section 1. Owner does hereby offer to grant to Town a perpetual right and
nonexclusive easement for the construction, operation and maintenance of existing and
future pathway facilities, for pedestrian, bicycle and equestrian use, together with right of
access thereto, on, under, over, along and through the real property situated in the Town
of Los Altos Hills, County of Santa Clara, State of California as described and depicted
in Exhibit A attached hereto ("Easement").
Section 2. Owner shall not allow the placement or construction of any
permanent structures or improvements on the Easement property.
Section 3. The Town hereby accepts the grant of the Easement.

Legal Description for
Public Pathway Easement
Lands of California Water Service Company
Los Altos Hills, California
An easement for public pathway purposes, situate in the Town of Los Altos Hills, County
of Santa Clara, State of California, being a portion of Lot 46 of the "Map of the
Subdivision of Hale Ranch", filed for record on January 11, 1897 in Book "I" of Maps at
Pages 48 and 49, Santa Clara County Recorder, as shown on Exhibit"B" made a part
hereof, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the common line between Lots 45 and 46 distant thereon North
73° 57' 54" West, 622.83 feet from the Easterly common corner of said Lots 45 and 46 as
said Lots are shown on the Map of the Subdivision of the Hale Ranch, recorded January
11, 1897 in Book I of Maps, pages 48 and 49, Santa Clara County Records, said common
corner being on the centerline of Magdalena Avenue as said Avenue is shown on said
Map of the Subdivision of the Hale Ranch; thence from said Point of Beginning, along
said common line between said Lots 45 and 46 North 73° 57' 54" West, 0.05 feet; thence
along a tangent curve to the right with a radius of 63.35 feet through a central angle of
86° 35' 31" an arc distance of 95.74 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence along a
curve to the left with a radius of 50 feet through a central angle of 61° 11' 43" an arc
distance of 53.40 feet; thence tangent to last said curve North 48° 34' 06" West, 46.06
feet; thence North 58° 56' 04" West 74.17 feet; thence North 16° 02' 06" East, 41.35 feet
to the Southerly right of way line of State Route 280 (Junipero Serra); thence along said
Southerly right of way line the following courses: South 58° 56' 04"East 88.64 feet,
South 48°34' 06" East, 47.19 feet, South 29° 24' 11"East 107.66 feet, and
South 15° 59' 13" West, 63.35 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing: 11,285 square feet, more or less.
Basis of Bearing:
The bearing North 54°44'06" East between found monuments along Magdalena Avenue
as shown on tract No. 6314 San Antonio Ranch Unit No. 1 filed in Book 429 of Maps at
Pages 36-40, Santa Clara County Records.
