RESOLUTION NO. 4-01
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY MANAGER AND AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-CLASS PAY
FOR A TOWN EMPLOYEE SERVING AS THE ACTING CITY MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the position of City Manager is currently vacant, the interim City
Manager will be leaving the Town on January 31, 2001 and efforts are underway to retain
a permanent City Manager; and
WHEREAS, Carol Ferrell, Town Finance Director, in addition to her daily duties as
Town Finance Director, has agreed to perform the essential job functions of the City
Manager, as assigned by the Mayor, from February 1, 2001 through March 16, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.6.1 of the Town's Personnel Policy allows for an increased
compensation pay rate for such periods of time in which an employee additionally performs
the essential functions of a position with a higher salary classification than in which they
are regularly employed.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town does RESOLVE as follows:
1. Carol Ferrell shall take on the duties of the City Manager, as assigned by the
Mayor, from February 1, 2001 through March 16, 2001 ("Term").
2. Carol Ferrell is authorized to receive out-of-class pay in the amount of Eight
Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($8,750.00) per month for the Term and such
amount shall be prorated in any partial month served.
