RESOLUTION NO. 53-11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AUTHORIZING TUITION
REIMBURSEMENT POLICY AND AMENDING THE CITY COUNCIL
ADOPTED EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Employee Classification and Compensation Plan was amended on
July 21, 2011; and
WHEREAS, continued education undertaken by Town employees adds value to
their service to the Town; and
WHEREAS,the Town does not have a tuition reimbursement policy;
NOW THEREFORE,the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby
approve and amend to the Employee Classification and Compensation Plan as Section
4.5:
"With the advance written approval of the City Manager and upon satisfactory
completion with a grade "B" or "3.00" or better, the Town shall reimburse an
eligible, permanent employee for the cost of tuition (on a course-by-course-basis)
for courses having a strong nexus to the employee's service to the Town and taken
at a college, university, or technical school. Reimbursements are limited to
$1,500 per fiscal year."
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of
the Town of Los Altos Hills at a special meeting held on the 22nd day of September, 2011 by
the following vote:
AYES: Summit, Larsen, Mordo, Radford, Waldeck

ABSENT: None
