Chairman Thomas F. McReynolds called the regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at
7:55 P.N. in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, W79 Fremont Rcad,
Los Altos Hills, California. The following menbers answered roll call:
Commissioners Magruder, Mueller, Spencer ane: Chairman McReynolds.
Absent: Commissioners Laehenbruch, Parkins anC Jeisbart.

Functions for the Town. This public hearing i-> scheduled for
the September 11, 1972 Fiannino. Commission meetinc.

CCMNITTEE REPORTS:
1. Commissioner Spencer reported that he had attended the Santa Clara
County Flanning Policy Committee Hillside S'ubcor"" ttee Ileetinc:
and discussed the progress of their study.
2. Commissioner Spencer also attended the Santa Clara County Planninc,
Policy Corn.ittea Meeting at which they discussed the Joint Cities
County Hcusin5 Element f-rcgran. He reportad that the FPC I:as
asked each city to review this program and submit their comments
and recommendations to them within the next three months.

The Flennin5 Commission adjourned to Study Sessic,n to uiscuss the role
that Los U tcs Fiills should play.in the current study of the Joint
Cities -County Housing Element Program. It was concluced that a
subcommittee, composed of Commissioners dueller {Chairmanl, F•erl<ins
and Spencer should prepare s written report with recommendations for
Planninc, Commission review and endorsement. This would then be sent
to the City Council for their action and submittal to the Flannincc
Policy Ccnmittce.

pool was raised as to whother it is a structure as defined by our
Zoning Crdinanc . It was deterninze by the Commissioners that since
it requires a loeaticn on the Sroune and earth work, it must Comply
with the conditions of the--'Icninc Ordinance, specifically the Site
Development Ordinance and setbaela.
