ORDINANCE NO. 377 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF, <br /> THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> UPDATING THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills wishes to update its conflict of interest.code to <br /> reflect changes in state law and new Town positions; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does ORDAIN as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. AMENDMENT TO CODE. Sections 2-6.10 through 2-6.14 of Chapter 6 of <br /> Title 2 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code are hereby renumbered respectively to Sections <br /> 2-6.11 through 2-6.15. <br /> 2. AMENDMENT TO CODE. Section 2-6.10'-of Chapter 6 of Title 2 is hereby <br /> added to the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code to read: <br /> Section 2-6.10 . Prohibitions <br /> (A) No designated employee shall accept any honorarium. <br /> (B) No designated employee shall accept any gifts with a total value of more than two <br /> hundred eighty dollars ($280)in a calendar-year from any single source. <br /> 3. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Section 2-6.11(E)-of Chapter 6 of Title 2 of the Los <br /> Altos Hills Municipal Code is hereby amended to read: <br /> (E) Any donor of, or any intermediary or agent for a donor of, a gift or gifts <br /> aggregating $280 or more in value provided to, received by, or promised_ to the designated <br /> employee within 12 months prior to the time when the decision is made. <br /> 4. AMENDMENT TO CODE. Chapter 6'of Title 2 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal <br /> Code is hereby amended by replacing the existing Appendix with the Appendix attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> 5. SEVERABILITY. If any part of this ordinance is held to be invalid or inapplicable <br /> to any situation by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of <br /> the remaining portions of this ordinance or the applicability of this ordinance to other situations. <br />
