ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Hayes, Hibner, Mendell, Williams, - Chairman Mellquist ABSENT: Commissioners Dawson, Case, Tantau MINUTES: August 6, 1959. ACTION: Adopt minutes of August 6, 1959 as submitted. None. OLD BUSINESS: None. DIVISIONS OF TAND: 1. jtebbins, Margaret (151-59) 3 lots. Engrg. Jones, Thenn and asaocia emu /ithdrawn from the '.genda. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Variances: Wobber. S, 4 V-46-59) - Request for Reduction of Setback Re - qui remenrage Mr. Wobber appeared an'. -?-cp3.e.ined house had been built under County requirements. Seward appeared. -2 - Bowman's Association has 75 members from Los altos Hills and the T'eninsula. There is adequate off-street parking for all members. Followinl- discussion, the natter was referred to the rlanning Committee and Nestor Barrett and for approval of the Fire Chief. FR7LI':INARY DISCUSSION: Conditional Use - Application for Hill & Valley Swimming e. Tennis ub. Membership would six hundred. Amount of acreage is ten. Mr. George Armstrong, Mr. Deward and Mr. ',chiemann appeared. This is a tentative plan for the Byrnes Ranch which has 210 acres. It was pointed out to the developers that in a subdivision of this size, the Planning Commission favors a neighborhood recreational facility. OID BUSINESS: Report on Studv of Page Mill Road Made by Nestor Barrett. Chairman Mellquist reported that loop neighborhood road of Page Mill, Altamont, Elena and Charles could be created. Charles Ave. is that part of the loop that is non -existing. The following suggested were made: 1. That the Town Engineer should study the problem of developing Charles Avenue a link between Page Mill and Elena. 2. Meeting of Nestor 7arrett, Planning Committee and the City Engineer. 3. Mr. Barrett will supply a `Ian Line". 4. The Flanning Commission and Council must hold hearing on "Flan Line". If it is established nothing can be built on this "Flan Line" the City Engi.eer is directed to a reconnaisance on the es- tablishment of a "F7. r. gine° m the approximate route of Charles Avenue connecting Tage "`__;. 3cad and Elena ^.venue. That the City Engiaeer consult with Mr. Barrett and the Plan- ning Committee relative ,:o the establishment of a "Flan Line" on the approximate route of Charles !.venue connecting Page Mill Road and Elena Avenue.
