Commissioner Carico called the meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission to
order in the Auditorium of Fremont Elementary School, 26300 Ortega Drive, Los
Altos Hills, at 7:01 P.M.

Commissioner Perkins stated on Page 2, July 24, 1974, Ninutes, the fourth
paragraph from the bottom, should be changed to read "'?ould the Hold Harm-
less Agreement, signed by the applicant protect the To,an in the event the

question is "no", in accordance with the letter from the City Attorney, dir.

Commissioner Perkins stated this matter had been continued from the tleetinq
of July 24, so the Commissioners would have additional tirde to study the
request from Jr. Schaner, concerning road improvements, dedicaticn of road-
way for the widening of Fremont Road and "iranda Avenue and the removal of
the pillar and fence along Fremont Road.
During general discussion of the requested amendments, Cor!rissioner Perkins
stated tie fr_lt the condition "no vehicular access to Fremont Road" would
solve most of the trgffic and safety problems.
City Engineer Russell revieried the conditions t'aai were alien the
building site approval was granted February 26, 19fi3.
During the discussion, Commissioner Perkins stated three oroblems should be
resolved, (1) vehicular access to Fremont Road, (2) one of the Yates and one
` w of the Rate posts are within the public right-of-way, and (3) there are shrub!
trees and grass within the public right-of-way. He elaborated on each of the
three problems, including tuho is responsible for tie triming or removal of
the shrubs, trees and grass in the public right-of-way, ho!e soon should the
