Commissioner Young called the meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission to
order in the Board Room of Foot'.ill College, 12345 E1 Monte Road, Los Altos
Hills, at 7:10 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners PERKINS, LAC.IEIBRUCH, YOUNG.
Absent: Commissioner NONE.

MINUTES
As there were no continents, Commissioner Young stated the Mintues of Septem-
ber 11, 1974, would stand approved as submitted...
APPROVED VARIANCE FOR LANDS OF VAJTA, 27290 BYRNE PARK LANE, LOS ALTOS HILLS

by Mr. Vajta, for a reduction of the northwestern sideyard setback line of
4 -feet, in order that a storage enclosure, constructed without a variance,
be allowed to remain. The staff, in their memo of October 2, 1974, recom-
mended the variance be granted and this project be fou;,d categorically ex-
empt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
During discussion, Commissioner Young stated it should be noted that if this
structure was located in another position, it would be injurious to the ecol-
ogy of the land.
Motion was made by Commissioner PERKINS, seconded by Commissioner LACHENBRUCH,
the variance requested for the Lands of Vajta be granted and this project be
found categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
Motion was unanimously approved.
VED VARIANCE FOR LANDS OF nANOLAKOS, 13040 EAST SUNSET DRIVE, LOS ALTOS HILLS
Assistant Planning Consultant stated a variance had been requested by
Mr. Manolakos for a reduction of the western side setback line by 7 -feet and
the back southern setback line by 8 -feet, in order to construct a swimming
pool. The staff, in their memo of October 2, 1974, recomme:ided the variance
be granted, subject to the conditions listed, and this project be found cat-
egorially exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
Mr. Manolakos spoke briefly on his requested variance for the swimming pool.

Mrs. Judy Carico spoke in favor of the landscaping plan, as presented.

by Commissioner PERKINS, the variance requested by the Lands of Manolakos
be granted, subject to the conditions listed in the staff memo, dated Octo-
