RESOLUTION NO, 79-96
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "QUARRY HILLS"
WHEREAS, on February 21, 1996, the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills approved the Tentative Map for the Quarry Hills Subdivision, pre-
zoning and a General Plan Amendment for the Lands of Vidovich, and certified
an Environmental Impact Report therefor; and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 1996, the Local Agency Formation Commission
of Santa Clara County approved the inclusion of approximately 91 acres of land,
including the Quarry Hills property, within the Town of Los Altos Hills' Urban
Service Area; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has indicated that
the short form designation of the territory proposed to be annexed is "Quarry
Hills"; and
WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed annexation is for development
for single-family detached residential uses, consistent with the Town's Zoning
Code and General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of the annexation are none; and
WHEREAS,the territory proposed for annexation is uninhabited; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills set August 21,
1996, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Town of Los Altos Hills, 26379
Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California, as the date, time and place the City
Council would conduct a hearing to hear protests against said annexation from
any owner of land within the territory, and caused notice of the hearing to be
given in the manner and within the time required by law; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing, the Council heard all
protests, which were none regarding the properties designated in the attached
boundary description, and concluded said hearing on the same date; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report for the development of the
Quarry Hills subdivision property was certified by the City Council on February
21, 1996, and the inclusion of the remaining residentially developed properties
within the Town's Urban Service Area and within the subject annexation

territory has been determined to be categorically exempt (Class 19) pursuant to
the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA); and
WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by this Town;
and
WHEREAS, land and improvements within the territory shall be liable for
the general indebtedness of the Town of Los Altos Hills at the time of
annexation; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code Section 56826, the
Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills makes the following findings:
1. The unincorporated territory proposed for annexation is within the
City's Urban Service Area, as adopted by the Santa Clara County
Local Agency Formation Commission.
2. The County Surveyor has determined the boundaries of the
proposal to be definite and certain, and in compliance with the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission's road
annexation policies.
3. The proposal does not split lines of assessment or ownership.
4. The proposal does not create islands or areas in which it would be
difficult to provide municipal services.
5. The proposal is consistent with the Town's adopted General Plan.
6. The territory is contiguous to existing Town limits.
7. The Town has complied with all conditions imposed by the
Commission for inclusion of the territory in the Town's Urban
Service Area.
NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does
RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. The City Council finds that the value of written protests filed
and not withdrawn prior to the conclusion of the hearing on the proposed
annexation thereof is none, and is therefore less than 25% of the total assessed
value of land within the territory.
Section 2. The City Council hereby orders the territory designated
"Quarry Hills" to be annexed to the Town of Los Altos Hills.

Section 3. The City Council describes the exterior boundaries of
territory annexed as all that real property in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, described in the attached Exhibit "A".

QUARRY HILLS
PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
Legal Description
All that certain real property situate in the County of Santa Clara,. State of California and
being portions of Lots 6. 7 and 8, as said lots are shown on that certain map entitled "Map
of the Partition of a Part of the San Antonio Rancho made for F. G.. Sanborn and N.J.
Stone" recorded in Book H of Maps at pages 48 and 49, Santa Clara County Records and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the original corporate limits of the Town of Los Altos Hills,
said point being the intersection of the centerline of San Antonio Avenue (currently named
Stonebrook Avenue), as delineated on said "Map of the Partition of a Part of the San
Antonio Rancho made for F. G. Sanborn and N.J. Stone" (H Maps 48), with the westerly
line of Lot 44 as delineated on that certain map entitled "Map of thesubdivision of the
Hale Ranch" recorded in Book I of Maps at pages 48 and 49, Santa Clara County
Records, said point being later and more precisely located as the northeasterly corner of
Tract 2958 as delineated on that certain map entitled "Tract 2958 Olive Tree Hill"
- recorded in Book 132 of Maps at page 12, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence westerly from said Point of Beginning, along aforesaid original corporate limits,
being the centerline of San Antonio Avenue (currently named Stonebrook Avenue), and
being the northerly line of Tract 2958 (132 M 12), North 84° 58' 25" West,215.00 feet,
to the northwesterly corner of"Tract 2958" (132 M 12); •
Thence southerly along aforesaid original corporate limits, being the westerly line of
"Tract 2958" (132 M 12), South 22° 10' 00" West, 31.39 feet,to a point on the
southerly line of San Antonio Avenue(currently named Stonebrook Avenue), as shown on
that certain map entitled "Tract No. 3775 Olive Tree Hill North" recorded in Book 184 of
Maps at page 8 & 9, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence leaving aforesaid original corporate limits, westerly along the southerly line of
aforesaid San Antonio Avenue (184 M 8 & 9), North 84° 58' 25" West,27.66 feet;
