MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
Wednesday, September 10, 1980

The meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission was called to order by Chairman Carico
at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Carico, Rydell, Stewart
Absent: None
Also Present: City Engineer/Planner John A. Carlson, Secretary Leslie Penf old
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes of Wednesday, August 13, 1980 were referred to the Planning Commission at
their next meeting of September 24, 1980.
The minutes of Wednesday, August 27, 1980 were declared approved as submitted. Commissioner
Stewart made the motion for approval.
4 PUBLIC HEARINGS

1) Lands of Strayer, File #VAR 6-80, 25875 Estacada Way, Vaughn Shabinian Associates,
Engineers, Request for Recommendation of Approval for Variance in side yard and front
yard building setback for a second story addition above the existing residence.
Mr. Carlson discussed the above request, stating that the six reasons providing Justiti-
cation for the need for the variance were listed on his staff report dated September 4, 198(
Staff recommended approval of the second story addition, also stating that there had been
no written or verbal opposition from adjacent neighbors.

cussion. There being no one speaking for or against the variance discussion was closed.
Commissioners found the findings of fact as stated in staff report dated Skptember 4, 1980,
satisfied the six conditions for a variance in section 9-5.1107 of the Municipal Code.
MOTION SECONDED AND PASSED UNANIMOUSLY: It was moved by Commissioner Stewart and seconded
by Commissioner Rydell to recommend approval of the variance for the Lands of Strayer,
File PVAR 6-80.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further new or old business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
