A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF THE 2014 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION
PROJECT -2
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the Town of Los Altos Hills did, in open session,
duly examine and consider all bids submitted to it for the construction of the 2014 Pavement
Rehabilitation Project—2; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that the contract for said project be
awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, Granite Rock Company, for the amount of
$179,463.00; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that funds of$25,000 be made available
for construction contingency; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that funds of$15,000 be made available
for inspection and testing of said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
that:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract with the lowest
responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed$179,463.
2. The Public Works Director is hereby authorized to approve contract change orders in
an amount not to exceed $25,000.
3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute necessary contracts with inspection
and testing firms in an amount not to exceed$15,000.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills at an adjourned special meeting held on the 31st day of March, 2015 by the
following vote:
AYES: Corrigan, Harpootlian, Larsen, Radford, Waldeck
