HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/16/196140r PLANNING COMMISSION TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING December 16, 1961 The Regular Meeting of the planning Commission of the Torn of Los Altos Hills was called to order by Chairman Alexander C. rrentice, Jr Saturday, December 16, 1961 at 5:40 A. M. at the Torn Hall, 26399 W. Fremont Ave., Los Altos Hills. ROLL CP.LL: FRESENT: Commissioners Alter, Garbett, Mellquist Chairman Prentice ABSENT: Commissioners Hawley, Hibner, Bowler MINUTES: December ?, 1961. Approval postponed until the next meeting. COMMUNICATIONS: None. 1. The Town's Christmas party will be held at the Town Hall Sunday, December 17, 1961 from ? to 5 F. M. COMMITTEE REFORTS: 1. Cul-de-sac Standards - Comtai.ssioner Mellquist. Upon the suggestion of ilellquist that the Planning Committee study the problems relative to cul de sac and slope development, tentative date for Planning Committee meeting was set for either January 16th or 1?0 , 1962. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Sunset Drive Commissioner agreed, prior to making recommendation, that the Fire Chief be asked to inspect the portion of the Sunset Drive right of way, presently unimproved, to determine whether the road should be constructed to connect East and West Sunset Drive. VARIANCES: 1. Carmichael Allen C. (V-96-61) - Request for Reduction of Set- back ^requirement. RECOMMENDATION: That the variance of A. C. Carmichael (V-96-61) be ap- proved. MOTION: Mellquist; SECOND: Garbett; VOTE: rassed unaninousl e 2. Beatty, Elizabeth V- =61) - Request for Reduction of Setback �r Requirement. RECOMMENDITICN: That the reouest of E. Deatty (V-97-61) be approved. MOTION: Mellquist; SECOND: Alter; VOTE: reseed unaninously NE'A EUSINESS: 1. Expressway. Mayor Clayton, the Town's representative on the Santa Clara County Tre£fioways Committee, commented on the proposed Foothill Empressway relative schedules and how the Town is affected. USE IERMITS: 1. Fremont Hills Development Co. 1- - l) - Request for Continuance of Saies Cf ice. RECOMMEND".TION: That the request for Use rernit of Fremont Hills Developmer Co. (V-98-61) be approved for one additional year, and that notice be served on the Fremont Hills Dev. Co. that this Yill be the last approval; that further, within this year, before January 1, 1963, the sales office and signs shall be renoved. Devised Map was presented, excluding a portion of land previous- ly shown on the ul,lginal map., RECOMMENDATION: That the Revised Tentative Map of Albertsworth Estates No� 2 (206-61) 4 lots be approved as submitted; that Lot No. 13 be declared 'Not a Building Site' until such time as the additional land, origin.ally proposed, can be ac- quired to bring the size of Lot No. 13 up to the Town's minimum standard of one acre; -that at such time Lot No. 13 will automatically becore a building site.
