RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
TO REVIEW THE ANNUAL SEWER CHARGE SET BY
THE CITY OF LOS ALTOS FOR THE LOS ALTOS SEWER BASIN
WHEREAS, the sewer agreement between the City of Los Altos
("City") and the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") calls for the
Town to review and approve the annual sewer service charge set by
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has set the annual sewer service charge,
as set out in its ordinance a copy of which is attached hereto
as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to hold a public hearing to provide
the public an opportunity to review and comment on the annual
sewer service charge set by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos
Hills does RESOLVE as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby fixes as the time and
place when it shall consider the annual service charge set by the
City of Los Altos for the Los Altos sewer basin the hour of
7: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 1992 in the Council Chambers,
Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California.
Section 2 . The City Clerk is hereby ordered to cause notice
of the time and place of the public hearing to be published once
a week for two successive weeks prior to the date set for hearing
in the Peninsula Times Tribune and to post the notice in the
three public posting places located within the Town of Los Altos
Hills.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 3rd day of June, 1992 .

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING SEWER SERVICE
CHARGES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos
Hills will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 1992 in
the City Council Chambers, Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills,
California, to review the annual sewer service charge set by the City of Los
Altos for the Los Altos Sewer Basin. Following this hearing and a hearing by
the City of Los Altos, the Los Altos Sewer Service Charge Final Report will be
filed with the Auditor in charge of the County of Santa Clara tax roll. A copy
of this Report is on file in the office of the City Clerk at Town Hall and may be
reviewed and inspected by the public.

AN'UKDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOS ALTOS AMENDING
SECTION 5.7.701 OF ARTICLE 7, CHAPTER 7, TITLE 5 OF THE LOS ALTOS MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOS ALTOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, this Council did on the 7th day of May, 1957, adopt Ordinance
No. 124, entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Rates and Charges for Sewage
Disposal Service and Providing Procedures and Penalties for its Enforcement",
the terms of which Ordinance, as amended, have been codified as a part of the
Los Altos Municipal Code; and

WHEREAS,
pursuant to notice duly given, all the users of the sewerage ~
works of the City and owners of property served or proposed to be served
thereby, and others interested, have been heard concerning the proposed
changes in said charges:
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE: Section 5-7.701 of Article 7, Chapter 7,
Title 5 of the Los Altos Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:

The race schedule of connections not within the City limits is prescribed as
follows:
Sewer service charges for connections to property located outside the City
limits, except those located within the Town of Los Altos Hills, shall be
at a monthly rate of twenty-two and 40/100chs Dollars
of

Sewer service charges for the Town of Los Altos Hills shall be set by
resolution of the Council.
A currenc copy of this Schedule of Charges shall be kept on file in the office
of the City Clerk and shall be open to inspection by the public.
SECTION 2. All other parts of said Article 7, Chapter 7, Title 5 of the
Los Altos Municipal Code shall remain in effect.
SECTION 3. Pursuant of Section 5048 of the Health and Safety Code of the
State of California, this Ordinance shall become effective on
July 1, 1992 and shall be published in full within fifteen (15)
days of its passage in the Town Crier, a newspaper printed and
published in the County of Santa Clara and of general circulation
in the City of Loo Altos.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 21st day of
April, 1992, and was passed and adopted on the 12th da of May
by the following roll call vote: y 1992,
