A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS DECLARING THE INTENTION OF SAID TOWN
TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF A CERTAIN OPEN
SPACE CONSERVATION EASEMENT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
THE "PUBLIC STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND SERVICE EASEMENTS
VACATION LAW", SECTION 8300, ET SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF CALIFORNIA
It appearing to the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that a
portion of a certain Open Space Conservation Easement hereinafter more
particularly described and located within the Town of Los Altos Hills,
California, should be vacated and abandoned for the reason that the portion
of the Easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and
that the best interests of the citizens of Los Altos Hills will be served by such
vacation and abandonment;
And, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public Streets, Highways and
Service Easements Vacation Law", Section 8300, et seq., of the Streets and
Highways Code, such action is authorized if the portion of the Easement is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the City
Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills as follows:
1. The City Council does hereby declare its intention to vacate and
abandon a portion of a certain Open Space Conservation Easement described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto an incorporated herein by reference, and being
located on
Lot One as shown on the Map of Tract No. 6518 recorded
in Book 448 of Maps at Pages 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39 on
August 27, 1979, in the Office of the Santa Clara County
Recorder.

41,2. A Hearing on said proposed vacation and abandonment of said
portion of the Easement hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby
fixed for Wednesday, September 6, 1989, at the hour of 7:15 p.m. of said day
at the Council Chambers, Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills,
California, notice of which hearing is hereby given, at which time and place all
persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation and
abandonment may appear and present objections to said proposed vacation
and abandonment, and submit to said City Council evidence in support
thereof, under and in conformity with the provisions of said "Public Streets,
Highways and Service Easements Vacation law".
3. Reference is hereby made to the map and/or plat of the portion of
the Easement above-described, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, Town
Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California, for further particulars
and said map/or plat is incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
4. The proposed Easement vacation and abandonment be submitted to
the Planning Commission, to be considered by said body and a
recommendation returned to the City Council at said Hearing.
5. That for two (2) successive weeks prior to the Hearing this
Resolution be published in the Peninsula Times Tribune, a newspaper
published and circulated in the County of Santa Clara, there being no
newspaper published or circulated in the Town of Los Altos Hills. That at
least three (3) notices of said vacation and abandonment, which notices shall
state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and of the day, hour and
place of Hearing thereunder, shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart
along the Easement proposed to be abandoned, at least two (2) weeks before
the day set for the Hearing, or as provided in the "Public Streets, Highways
and Service Easements Vacation Law".

A portion of an Open Space Conservation Easement over a portion of Lot
One as shown on that certain map filed for record August 27, 1979 in
Book 448 of maps at Pages 35 through 39, inclusive, Santa Clara County
records, State of California, more particularly described as follows
for the purposes of abandonment:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot One as shown on said
map; thence along the westerly line of Lot One South 15°12'32"
West 269.05 feet; thence leaving last said line at a right angle
South 74°47'28" East 27.09 feet to the easterly line of a 10.00
wide Sanitary Sewer and Pedestrian-Equestrian Easement as shown
on said map, being the True Point of Beginning of this descrip-
tion; thence along said easterly line of a Pedestrian-Equestrian
Easement North 10°37'11" East 94.82 feet; thence continuing along
said line North 58°23'33" East 118.76 feet; thence continuing
along said line North 83°54'33" East 51.10 feet to a point from
which the radial center of a curve bears South 30°28'54" West
159.00 feet; thence easterly along said curve and southerly line
of a Slope Easement as shown on said map through a central angle
of 5°24'19" an arc distance of 15.00 feet; thence South 28°22'15"
West 201.71 feet; thence North 74°47'28" West 90.00 feet to the
True point of Beginning of this description.
Containing an area of 18,292 square feet, more or less.
