RESOLUTION NO. 62-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR
SANTA CLARA COUNTY COMBINING THE NORTH AND CENTRAL
SUBREGIONS, RENAMING THE SOUTHWEST REGION, PROVIDING
CONTINUED ACCESS TO GUADALUPE MINES LANDFILL, AND
PROVIDING FOR ANNUAL REPORTING REGARDING WASTE
REDUCTION TO ACHIEVE 25% GOAL BY 1995
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously concurred in the principles
and objectives of the Solid Waste Management Plan for Santa Clara County;
and,
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Intergovernmental Council has
requested that this City consider amending the Plan to include therein the
provisions of this Amendment in the Solid Waste Management Plan for Santa
Clara County;
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara has
heretofore adopted a Negative Declaration under the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) in connection with said proposed Revision and approved
the Amendment.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby
finds and determines as follows:
1. The Town of Los Altos Hills as a responsible agency considered the
environmental effects of the proposed Amendment as shown in the

Negative Declaration.
2. The Amendment to combine the North and Central Subregions,
rename the Southwest Subregion and provide continued access to
Guadalupe Mines Landfill, and provide for annual reporting
regarding waste reduction to achieve 25% goal by 1995, an
Amendment to the Solid Waste Management Plan for Santa Clara
County, is approved.
3.. Concurrence in the principles and objectives of the said Plan is
reaffirmed.
4. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the IGC Solid Waste Committee for Santa Clara County,
do Paula Stoner, Solid Waste Planning Program Analyst, County
Government Center, 70 West Hedding Street, 7th Floor, East Wing,
San Jose, CA 95110.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 15th day of June, 1988.
