RESOLUTION NO. 126-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON AN APPLICATION FOR A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO
THE ZONING MAP AND GENERAL PLAN OF THE TOWN; AND
PROPOSED CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS TO THE TEXT OF
CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE 10 OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL
CODE ENTITLED "ZONING LAW OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS"; .AND A PROPOSED TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION
MAP; AND THE PROPOSED FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
REPORT FOR LAND OF QUARRY HILLS
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of
Santa Clara, State of California that
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the Town of Los Altos Hills
applications by John Vidovich and De Anza Properties pertaining to 358
acres, more or less, presently located within the unincorporated territory of
Santa Clara County at the westerly terminus of Stonebrook on the site of
the Neary Quarry (herein called "Quarry Hills"), and which applications
relate to the following matters:
1. To Pre-zone and include portions of Quarry Hills in the
Residential-Agricultural (R-A) Zoning District and Open Space Reserve (OSR)
Zoning District and Open Space Conservation Combining (OSR-c) Zoning
District, respectively;
2. To amend10-1.215 -
Sections (Development Area), 10 1.501
(Minimum Parcel Size), 10-1.502 (Development Area), 10-1.503 (Floor
Area), and Article 8 entitled "Open Space Reserve District (OSR)",
respectively, of Chapter 1 of Title 10 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code,
and to add thereto Article 9 entitled "Open Space Conservation Combining
(OSR-c) Zoning District;
3. To amend the General Plan of the Town to change the designation
of Quarry Hills in order that although the area of the Quarry proposed to be

a lake would continue to be designated Open Space Preserve, the
remainder of the area would be designated Residential Very Low to Low
Density, and the line between the area of Residential Very Low to Low
Density and Open Space Preserve designation to the south would be revised
in order that all of the area proposed for lots less than 10 acres in size
would be designated as Residential Very Low to Low Density; and
4. To approve a Tentative Map for Quarry Hills; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Final Environmental Impact Report has been
prepared and filed with the City Clerk, notice of the preparation of which
has been given as required and copies of which have been made available;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted its hearings on
each of the matters applied for and concerning the proposed Final
Environmental Impact Report; and
WHEREAS, Public Hearings are required to be conducted by the City
Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The City Council does hereby set as the date, time, and place for the
public hearing on each of the matters applied for and described above, and
on the proposed Final Environmental Impact Report, the hour of 7:15 p.m.
on Tuesday, December 20, 1988, Town Hall 26379 Fremont Avenue, Los
Altos Hills, California.
2. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to do each of the
following not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of the hearing, to wit;
(a) to cause "Notice of Public Hearing and Notice of Preparation
of the Final Environmental Impact Report" to be posted in at
least three (3) public places in the Town and on the Quarry
Hills real property.

(b) to cause copies of Notice of Public Hearing and Notice of
Preparation to be posted for not less than five hundred (500)
feet at approximately one hundred (100) foot intervals from
each boundary of Quarry Hills along the road(s) upon which the
property abuts or from an access road or way to property not
having public road frontage.
(c) to cause to be mailed by First Class mail a copy of the Notice of
Public Hearing and of Preparation of the Final Environmental
Impact Report to all organizations and individuals who have
previously requested such Notice.
(d) to give Notice of said Public Hearing by First Class mail or by
personal delivery (1) to the owner of the real property, Quarry
Hills, (2) to the applicant named above, and (3) to all persons,
including individuals, corporations, or other public entities,
shown on
the last equalized assessment roll as owning real
property within five hundred (500) feet of the Quarry Hills
real property described above.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 7th day of December, 1988.
