RESOLUTION NO. 44-87
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
ALTOS HILLS AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR GARBAGE
COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County
of Santa Clara, State of California, that
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1977, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
1027 approving and authorizing execution of an Agreement between the City
and Los Altos Garbage Company, and which contained an option to renew the
Agreement for a further period of five (5) years, and Exhibit "A" entitled
..Rate Schedule" attached to the Agreement contained the service rates then
approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that the Rate Schedule may be
amended by Resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 1982, the Council adopted Resolution No. 1457
accepting the exercise by Los Altos Garbage Company of its option to renew
the Agreement for a further period of five () years, commencing as of April
1, 1982 and approving and authorizing the execution of an Addendum to the
above-described Agreement, which also contains a further option to renew
the Agreement for an additional period of five (5) years commencing on the
1st day of May, 1987 upon terms then satisfactory to both parties; and
WHEREAS, the option to renew the Agreement for an additional period
of five (5) years commencing on May 1, 1907 has been exercised; and
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council by adoption of the following
Resolutions amended the Rate Schedule as provided for in the
above-described Agreement:

WHEREAS, the surcharge equal to 8.9 percent of the rates to be changed
for each class of service shown in the Rate Schedule imposed by Resolution
No. 1471 thereafter was repealed by Resolution No. 1567 adopted by the City
Council on July 20, 1983, and
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1984 the Council adopted Resolution No.
93-04 approving and authorizing the execution of a Second Addendum to
Agreement providing for remittance by Los Altos Garbage Company to the
Town of certain amounts collected from its customers and which are
designated to be used to pay the obligations of Town under the 1984 Waste
Disposal Participation Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED as
follows:

1. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the approved interim
service rates contained in the "Rate Interim Schedule" approved on December
3, 1986 to expire on May 31, 1907 should be re-enacted and continued.
2. The schedule of approved service rates to be charged by Los Altos
Garbage Company for services performed under the Agreement be, and they
hereby are amended as set forth in Exhibit "A" entitled "Rate Schedule",
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and to be effective as
of June 1, 1987.
3. Resolution No. 174-86 adopted by the City Council on December 3,
1906 be and it hereby is repealed.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 20th day of May, 1987.

RATE- `FIEDULE -
The following schedules of MONTHLY rates shall be the maximum charge
for the weekly collection of garbage, except as otherwise provided
herein, in Los Altos Hills:
(a) RESIDENTIAL RATES:
For a maximum size can of thirty (30) gallons for all residences,
