Home My WebLink About63-87 • RESOLUTION NO. 63-87 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS INITIATING REORGANIZATION PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION AND DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS THE RILEY ANNEXATION DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND SETTING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR CONSIDERATION OF SUCH REORGAN I ZAT ION. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills (herein called the "TOWN") desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code for the annexation of certain territory to the TOWN; and WHEREAS, this proposal includes an annexation to the TOWN located in the County of Santa Clara of unincorporated territory which is within the urban service area of the TOWN and is not subject to review by the Local Agency Formation Commission as provided under Section 56826 of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, such territory is known by the short form designation of the RILEY ANNEXATION, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, and is subject to correction or revision as required; and WHEREAS, a map showing the location of such territory is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be reorganized is uninhabited, and all the owners of land within the territory have filed a written petition for the City Council to initiate said reorganization; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the TOWN; and WHEREAS, it is not desired to provide that the proposed reorganization be subject to any terms and conditions; and WHEREAS, the reason(s) for the proposed reorganization is/are as follows: To construct a new single family home on the property described in Exhibit "K. NOW, THERFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS hereby initiates proceedings for the proposed reorganization of the designated territory, and hereby sets July 15 , 1987 at the hour of 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California, as the date, time and place for consideration of such reorganization. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council is hereby designated as the conducting authority for said proceedings.
